Singaporean company Sky Urban Solutions, headed by Founder and CEO Mr Jack Ng today received the European Society for Quality Research’s (“ESQR”) International Diamond Prize for Excellence in Quality 2015 in an award ceremony held in Vienna, Austria.
ESQR, with its Head Office in Lausanne, Switzerland, promotes quality awareness, recognizes good business practices, technological innovation, quality achievements in companies, public administrations and organizations worldwide, and publicizes their successful performance strategies. Past award winners include Philips (The Netherlands), Konica Minolta (Japan), Delta Air Lines (the USA), UniCredit (Italy) and All Nippon Airways (Japan).
Earlier in August this year, Jack also won the INDEX: Award 2015 – the world’s biggest and probably most important design prize, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jack’s patented invention of the world’s first low-carbon, hydraulic-powered vertical farming system is recognized for having a global impact in the creation of a future farm, transforming agriculture and feeding the world. He is the first Singaporean and ethnic Chinese to receive this prestigious award.

Sky Urban Solutions operates one of the largest vegetable farming facilities in Singapore using its award-winning vertical farming system and supplies fresh vegetables to NTUC Fairprice, Singapore’s largest supermarket chain. This highly adaptable system has been successfully implemented in Hainan, China in June 2015 in Sky Urban Solution’s first overseas vertical farm project and the company is planning to expand into other cities in China, Malaysia, the USA and other regions.
